Kristin Smith (formerly known as Kristin Anderson) is currently a Mommy Lifestyle Expert on the Emmy nominated Home and Family show airing weekly on the Hallmark Channel. Tune in and you’ll catch her talking about her favorite subject – motherhood! Whether it’s giving mothers creative ways to celebrate life’s milestones or previewing the “it” mommy-and-baby products on the market, Kristin shares her passion of connecting with other women and juggling all the components of parenthood.
Kristin’s light-hearted and self-proclaimed “hot-mess” approach to motherhood is a breath of fresh air to her viewers; she believes talking about motherhood (the good, the bad and the ugly) is the best way to find empowerment as a Mom.
Before diving head first into the Mommy Lifestyle Expert position, Kristin spent over a decade as a morning news anchor, in some of the leading television markets in the country. Prior to joining “the family,” she anchored both the number one morning show in Phoenix, AZ; Fox 10 Arizona Morning, as well as the leading afternoon broadcast; Fox 10 News at Noon. During her five years with the Fox family, from 2005 to 2010, Kristin picked up a substantial following on social media and garnered much support for several causes close to her heart, including such organizations as Kaity’s Way (an organization dedicated to fighting teenage domestic violence), The National Kidney Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. From 2008 to 2010 Kristin hosted The Morning Show, which gave viewers an inside look into pop culture in South Florida. Prior to that, she’d made a stop in Yuma, Arizona at KYMA News Channel 11.
Kristin says she really fell in love with television while she was in college (on a full-ride basketball scholarship) working as an intern on the Los Angeles morning show, Good Day LA.In her television career, Kristin has gotten the chance to cross several things off her bucket list! From sky-diving with the Golden Knights Army Parachute Team to playing a game of basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters and even appearing live to television viewers immediately after giving birth. She’s enjoyed the ride!
Kristin has always been a hopeless romantic. She met her husband, Josiah Smith, at church in 2011. Kristin recalls, “We were just friends and I totally fell for him!” Together they have two beautiful children, Kingston and Phoenix. A devoted Christian, Kristin is very involved in the Arts, Media & Sports ministry at her church and credits God for allowing her to live such a full life.
